The rise of Cara Delevingne seemingly happened overnight - however her first major modelling appearance was in Vogue Italia at the young age of 10!
She burst onto the scene in a major way in 2012 as the face of Burberry, single-handedly bringing bold brows back into high fashion. Since then, Cara's career has soared to great heights, with this multi-talented 'slashie' proving that there's more to her than just model-good looks.
"When you’re coming from a place of living just to work, it’s never as good as you want it to be. It’s never as authentic. When you have balance in your life, work becomes an entirely different experience. There is a passion that moves you to a whole new level of fulfilment and gratitude and that’s when you can do your best…for yourself and for others" says Cara.
To celebrate the release of her latest big budget sci-fi flick, VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS, we're looking back on the career to date of this inspiring young woman.
Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (2012)
Cara cemented her supermodel status in 2012 when she made her debut as a Victoria's Secret Angel, owning the runway alongside Justin Bieber singing 'Beauty and a Beat'.
Anna Karenina (2012)
Cara's first leading role was in the short film, Reincarnation, an accompaniment to the Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d'art collection. The short film was a creative collaboration between Karl Lagerfield and Pharrell Williams. Cara is not only the lead character and the face of the collection, she also sang with Pharrell in the enchanting 'CC The World' track from the film.
Paper Towns (2015)
Cara played the mysterious Margo in Paper Towns, the big screen adaptation of the bestselling novel from author John Green. HOME AGAIN'S Nat Wolff stars alongside Cara as Q, a smitten teen who goes searching for Margo after she suddenly disappears.
Suicide Squad (2016)
Starring in 2016's exciting anti-hero film, Cara brought to life the DC Comics character, June Moone/Enchantress. Adding to her acting arsenal, Cara managed to play both the kind-hearted June Moone and the vindictive witch, Enchantress.
Scoring rave reviews for her performance as the feisty Laureline, Cara has come into her own - truly proving her worth as a leading lady. Her character, Sergeant Laureline, travels through space on dangerous missions with her partner Major Valerian.
Based on the French comic series by Pierre Christin and created by the legendary director, Luc Besson, this high octane film is visually spectacular and truly magical.
